Yo!
Pardon the radio silence, everyone, but I have a pretty good excuse: I injured the top bone of my middle finger at work about a week ago. I tripped and while I managed to catch my fall with one hand, the heavy object on my other hand fell on the former. Thankfully I was wearing work gloves, or else it would've definitely broke bone, no question about it.
Today, the pain is minor unless I put some pressure on it as if I was pushing a button. I haven't lost the nail (one of my fears), and the color is trying to go back to normal. Skin color is almost normal. Swelling is gone. While stiff, I can bend my finger, but it will remain immobilized for a long as possible. The skin is stained by blood in a couple of spots and only time will tell if it'll stay that way permanently like on other places in my body.
I'm looking at 3+ weeks of healing time. I had to replace my workout routines for the time being. Typing is tricky with one finger immobilized, let alone sign my name properly.
So the ol' sketchbook won't be out to use for awhile.
I do have some pics I've been saving up for autumn that I'll be uploading soon.
In the meantime, I have a year's worth of motorcycle magazines I haven't read.
Better get started.
Later.
